Many customers seem to be trying vegetable growing for the first time. Apologies to all of you seasoned and experienced gardeners but could we remind you that now is the time to plant your winter greens? Sprouts, Purple Sprouting Broccoli and winter cabbage go in now. Kale in a week or two. The plants need to take advantage of the long summer days if they are to have enough reserves to crop in the dull winter light.
