Mukdenia ‘Crimson Fans’
Large maple like leaves emerge green in spring and as they age they develop bright red edges. Foliage will remain red all summer long, but dies down in winter. Small white flowers in spring.
The flowering height is 30cm and spread 40cm and it enjoys moist soil and partial shade.
Astrantia Monarda ‘Ruby Wedding’
Also known as “Masterwort”, Astrantia ‘Ruby Wedding’ is a great addition to your woodland or part shade gardens. ‘Ruby Wedding’ flowers are dark red with a touch of white at the base. Astrantia is known for its exceptionally long bloom time. They thrive in moist, humus-rich or clay soil. If planted in sandy soil or full sun, be sure to water often. Dark red flower heads – flowering June to September. Clump-forming perennials with masses of palm-shaped leaves. Wiry stems rise above the foliage canopy, each tipped with a rounded flower head set in a cup of bracts. Excellent cut flowers.
Grow to about 55cm (22″) and spread to 35cm (14″).
Veronica Longifolia
An upright perennial with narrow mid-green leaves. Spikes of lilac-=blue flowers in late summer and early autumn.
Delphinium Magic Fountains Sky Blue with White Bee
Brilliant summer flower display – graceful sky blue with white ‘bee’ flowers for weeks on spikes above mid-green, maple-like foliage.
Dwarf variety suitable for borders in sun or partial shade, on moist but well-drained soils. Good for cutting.
Flowering time is early to mid summer
