Shrubs are getting difficult to source, particularly anything out of the ordinary. We try and propagate what we can ourselves and keep a sharp eye out for any interesting subjects. We have just had a delivery in from the shrub specialist Brockhill Nursery. Some very nice items:
Albizia julibrissin (Persian Silk Tree) Range Selection (green leaved Albizias are hard to come by at the moment for some reason);
Cytissus battandieri – not rare but have been unobtainable all year;
Clianthus Red Cardinal – a climber that needs to be cossetted but well worth the effort;
Some less usual Chaenomeles (also known as the Japanese Flowering Quince) – Madame Butterfly, Apple Blossom, Geisha Girl, Kinshiden ;
Eucryphia × nymansensis ‘Nymansay’ – one of the hardiest Eucryphias.
and quite a lot else besides
