Orlaya grandiflora

was Carol Klein’s choice at Chelsea and I’m delighted to say these are now ready for you here at Downside Nurseries.   It’s also one of the RHS’s top 10 Hardy Annuals – see link here  from where I’ve used the image.

The small central florets are surrounded by a ring of much larger ones creating more impact.  If you don’t know it, imagine a cross between cow parsley and candy tuft – very pretty – 60cm. Lovely for summer borders. Perennial but short lived.  Good in dry soil and an excellent cut flower too.
