Winter bedding plants for our November Banner

Cercis chinensis ‘Avondale’ and Camellias Brushfield’s Yellow and Lady Campbell

A glorious mixture of colours for March.  The Camellias Brushfield’s Yellow and Lady Campbell sitting alongside the Cercis chinensis ‘Avondale’.

Brushfield’s Yellow is an upright, evergreen shrub with dark glossy foliage and creamy-white flowers with light yellow centres whilst Camellia japonica ‘Lady Campbell’ is an upright evergreen shrub with glossy green leaves and long-lasting red double flowers in spring. It does best in partial shade.

A beautiful tree native to China, this Cercis chinensis ‘Avondale’ has bare stems which are studded with pretty, rich purple-pink flowers in late April or early May before the foliage emerges.  The leaves are heart-shaped and quite large, making this an attractive foliage plant for the rest of the year.

The perfect gift for Mum??
